How Did New England-Connected Drivers Do This Past Weekend?

On Friday night Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT chalked up another NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win at Nashville Speedway.

On Saturday the NASCAR Xfinity Series were on the busy card.  Justin Aligaier came home the winner in that one while Ryan Preece came in sixth, Brett Moffitt was tenth, Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT ended his effort in 20th place while Jeb Burdon didn’t fare well coming in 35th.  Moffitt, Alfredo and Burton drive race cars for Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our.   The couple call Harwich, MA home.
In Sunday’s weather delayed NASCAR Cup race in the Music City, it was Chase Elliott who took the checkered flag.  Middletown, CT’s Joey Logano ended his long day in ninth place while Corey LaJoie came in 20th.  Corey is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy LaJoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT.
Hope, RI’s Bob Tasca, III missed taking the final Funny Car run of the day at the Summit NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio.  Cruz Pedregon was just a little bit faster than Tasca who always does well at this venue.
